Main Street. The session is being hosted by the Acadia Parish Chamber and the Town of Church Point and has been designed and will be led by the CEO and staff of the Acadiana Planning Commission and One Acadiana.
This community development stakeholder meeting will (1) discuss Church Point's Designated Opportunity Zone, (2) provide an overview of this strategic development program, and (3) identify the next steps the community can explore to maximize the positive impacts of the program.
Opportunity Zones are a tool designed to spur economic development and job creation in distressed communities by providing tax benefits to investors. Established by Congress in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, the program provides a federal tax incentive to encourage long-term investments of capital gains into designated low-income communities.
Please join us to learn more about how you can assist your clients/constituents and/or benefit personally by discovering how we can all be a part of local economic development while taking advantage of tax saving investments through Opportunity Funds. We ask that you invite other financial professionals (bankers, financial advisors, CPA’s), real estate brokers, and individual investors who would benefit from this program.
