Farmers' Dinner Plans Underway

Crowley Chamber Plans for Annual Farmers’ Dinner
 
 
The Crowley Chamber of Commerce has begun planning for their annual Farmers’ Appreciation Dinner in honor of the farmers who make such a large contribution to the culture and the economy of Acadia Parish.  The event will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Crowley Rice Festival Building.  Doors will open at 6:00pm allowing guests an opportunity to visit exhibitor booths and get acquainted.  A jambalaya dinner with all the trimmings will follow at 7 pm.
 
Along with Louisiana Rice Mill, the following businesses are sponsoring this great event: Acadia Parish Farm Bureau, Bank of Commerce, Bertrand Rice, Brammer Machine Shop, Carmichael’s Cashway Pharmacy, Crowley Grain Dryer, Evangeline Bank, Falcon Rice Mill, Farmer’s Rice Milling, First National Bank, G & H Seed Co, HomeBank, IberiaBank, Louisiana Farm & Ranch, Louisiana Farm Bureau Marketing Association, Louisiana Land Bank, OncoLogics, Pitre Rice, Quality Equipment, Rayne State Bank, Ruddock’s Bakery, Schilling Distributors, Southwind Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and St. Martin Bank.
 
Door prizes donated by local businesses will be given away throughout the evening.  A black synthetic Beretta 391, 3 1/2, 12-gauge shotgun donated by G&H Outdoor Store and the Rice Palace will be given away at the end of the evening.  Raffle tickets are $5 and are available from the Chamber office or at the event.
