Chamber Begins Planning for Candidate Forum

The Crowley Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Committee is currently planning for the Fall Candidate Forums to be hosted at the Historic Grand Opera House of the South. Set for September 21, the forum will feature candidates seeking the offices of District 42 State Representative, Acadia Parish Police Jury, Acadia Parish Tax Assessor, and Acadia Parish Clerk of Court. All candidates will be encouraged to attend and participate in the event. Each candidate will be given an opportunity to address the crowd.
The Candidate Forum will begin at 6:30pm and is open to all citizens free of charge. Prior to the forum, a private Business After Hours event will be held for Chamber members and candidates on the first floor Ballroom of the Opera House beginning at 5:00pm. As the preparation continues, members of the Chamber are encouraged to join the Legislative Committee to take an active part in the planning process.
The Chamber’s Legislative Committee is also seeking input from residents of Crowley and Acadia Parish to formulate questions for the candidates. Please take this opportunity to participate in the election process by contacting the Chamber with your questions and concerns. Anyone wishing to submit a question or topic to be addressed is encouraged to call the Chamber office at 788-0177. Submissions can also be forwarded via email, info@crowleychamber.comor mailed to Candidate Forums, P.O. Box 2125, Crowley, LA 70527.
